Dear applicant,
I have the pleasure to inform you that the admission committee of the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) has decided to grant you
admission to the MSc. programme in Microsystems Engineering (MSE) for the coming winter semester starting on October 15th, 2018. We will be glad to welcome you at IMTEK next fall!
In order to guarantee your slot please confirm your participation
immediately, but not later than May 21
st using the enclosed letter of
acceptance. If we have not heard from you by that time, we will not send the
official admission letter. (Please note: If you send the acceptance letter, but do not get
any confirmation of receipt within 24 hours, please send it again from a different email account
of yours or call me by phone. We sometimes have problems with specific email providers).
This admission is an important step towards your further professional career
and it will affect most of your further life. Before you decide to accept the
admission to the MSc. programme in Microsystems Engineering (MSE), we
would like to recommend that you check whether the curriculum of this
programme meets your expectations.
Thus, you can base your final decision on sound information.
Please note: The MSE programme is a very interdisciplinary and versatile
programme. It is NOT dedicated primarily to microelectronics. It also
comprises micromechanics, optical microsystems, micro-actuators, microfluidics, biomedical microsystems and also technologies for their fabrication.
Although in the second year you can specialise in two of seven
conceXXXation areas, in the first year you will have compulsory courses in all
these areas. Please keep that in mind when you decide to commence your
Master's programme at the University of Freiburg.
Once we will have received the letter of acceptance from your side, your documents will be forwarded to the International Students Admissions Office (IAS). They will verify the authenticity of your documents and your formal eligibility for the programme and then issue the admission letter 【就是这一段】
In most
cases, the admission documents will include an approval letter from Freiburg
immigration office “Sichtvermerk” (see enclosed information). This approval
letter will reduce the duration of the visa procedure to approximately 2-4
weeks. Please make sure to submit this letter to the embassy together with
the admission letter! |
