We are pleased to formally confirm that you have been accepted as an exchange student at RWTH Aachen University for the academic year 2013/14.

Please note our below semester dates and keep these in mind while arranging your stay in Aachen:

Winter semester: 01.10.-31.03. (exam period: mid February-31.03.)
Summer semester: 01.04.-30.09. (exam period: mid July-30.09.)
Intensive German language course: 02.09.-27.09.2013 (only if you applied)

If you have any questions in regard to the contents of your studies, such as courses, lectures and exams, please contact your coordinator at the school of mechanical engineering, Mr Philip Miessner, miessner@rb4.rwth-aachen.de. It is advisable to contact him in regard to your study plan.

In the attachment “Essentials for Incoming Exchange Students” you can find useful information regarding your stay. Issues like academic calendar, the learning agreement, language course, housing and social life are explained in detail.

The official letter of admission is attached to this email. A copy of this letter needs to be shown during enrollment at the beginning of your stay.

Your appointment for enrollment will be sent to you separately.

Please note that the student service fee which is mentioned in the letter of admission is currently approx. 225 Euros.

Make sure to read all information carefully. Do not hesitate to come back to us should there be any further questions. We look forward to welcoming you in Aachen soon!
