关于留德签证

我今年十月去德国马堡读博，现年35岁。学校邀请函说提供1000的奖学金，包括医疗保险，并对保险做了一下解释：

The 1000 EUR are a scholarship, not a salary. You will get health insurance within the German National Health Insurance. The German National Health Insurance offers full coverage in all medically necessary treatments. It is highly recommended that you take care of a travel insurance at the beginning and end of your stay to cover periods of travel outside of Germany.

学校提供的公立保险是否会很贵啊！

按照以前的情况，你的这封信两种可能性都有机会遇到：
1，需要额外提供签证用保险
2，不需要额外提供签证用保险

而他们的说法也比较奇怪，你属于博士，拿的是奖学金，理论上不能投公立保险的，他们却说让你投公立保险，这本身和德国保险法规不符

我准备委托您帮我在北京递签，如果需要保险，您再帮忙办理是否可以？
邀请函只用复印件是否可以，原件还未寄到！
我十月就要开学了。

Concerning your questions about health insurance: In the past, we managed to provide PhD-students older than 30 years with a membership in a public health insurance. I would suggest that we arrange an appointment with the agent from that insurance company as soon as you arrive here in the city of Marburg.

For the visa application process it is usually sufficient to have a traveller’s insurance which covers the first weeks of your stay in Germany. I hope this answers all your questions for now. If you have any further concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
