You application must be accompanied by a number of essential documents. These can be submitted in German, English, or French. For all other languages documents must be submitted with a notarised translation.
- Notarised or official copy of the original certificates of higher education entrance qualification and if available university degree with academic transcript.
- Proof of having taken university examinations or entrance examinations.
- If necessary, proof of participation in an assessment test, the so-called "Feststellungsprüfung" at a "Studienkolleg" and the result.
- Proof of German language proficiency equivalent to 1000 hours of teaching at a recognized university or language school. Private language schools are recognized provided that they are regulated by the state.
