大学联系信的目的

报了语言班，就在纠结联系信
不知道签证需要大学联系信的目的何在呢？
他们要看到的是，你在努力和学校联系呢，还是说你真的除了语言之外，基本符合入学要求了？
因为单单靠email说明自己的情况，对方的回复大多都是“请通过正式的网上进行资料投递，才能判定是否符合条件”blabla
