接到第一封回信，大家给说说怎么回啊？


好不容易接到封回信，可是里面写的东西让我不知道怎么回好。对方说让我从DAAD争取奖学金，晕死，具体大家看看下面。大家给我点意见，我该怎么回他，去争取导师给钱？不是说一般读博的话，那得导师多多少少都会给钱的吗？
If you want to make your PhD in Germany, the main problem will be that you need some financial support to cover your living expenses in Germany which are much higher than in China. The best way is obtaining a scholarship from DAAD http://www.daad.org.cn/home.htm . There are scholarships available from China. You should ask one of your professors for that.

It is not possible to do research work without any knowledge of English, and, if you want to come to Germany, I strongly recommend to you to learn German. It may be possible to make a PhD in Germany without knowing the German language, but you will learn much more in both your subject and about the country, if you know the language. DAAD offers language courses, if you obtain a scholarship from them.

In order to get a scholarship it is necessary of course to achieve a good ranking at your university. The rules at German universities are not the same everywhere. However, at most universities (such as Aachen) you need to attend some courses and pass some examinations to be accepted as a PhD student. As only a few courses are offered in English, it is an advantage to understand German very well also in this respect.

一般如果老板的资金不是很充裕，或者不想给外国人资助，或者不急着招人，就会让你申请daad的。这样他免费得到一个劳动力，何乐而不为。

但是看到信中说，要通过课程和考试才能获得博士资格，而且有很多课程是用德语上的。我觉得这应该是比较特殊的情况吧。一般如果一个研究组够international的话是不会要求你去学德语的，英语就足够工作上使用了。一般也不会有课程和考试，因为博士生的主要是去做科研工作，而不需要从课堂上学习知识了。

建议楼主：如果不是非常想去这个组，如果没有德语基础，就尽量申请其他地方吧，不然PhD读得肯定很辛苦。

楼上这位真是找人K。这位德国教授是位对中国和中国学生多么了解的人，认真耐心地在点拨楼主申请DAAD奖学金，而且要是学校的优秀学生，要学会德语，否则在德国学不到太多的东西。
我知道许多德国教授对中国学生有很大疑虑，因为光看材料无法完全判断一个人，而一旦接受下你，无论如何是会跟你签协议，照顾到你博士毕业的。
所以当然他们希望由其他的单位承担这个风险，比如DAAD负责挑选优秀的中国学生并发放奖学金，而且教授也希望该学生能通过DAAD项目，并且有机会学会德语。
所以如果LZ是好学校的好学生，你真该珍惜这个机会，请他给你写个邀请信，然后持其申请DAAD奖学金。只要你的口语和听力都好，成绩也过硬，机会会是很大的。 http://28
