The following documents have to be submitted in original plus two A-4-size photocopies with any student visa
application:
• A passport with minimum validity of 12 months;
• Prescribed application forms, duly filled – in duplicate;
• Three very recent passport size photos with white background
• Official admission letter;
• Former university certificates (degree certificates and mark sheets are required; course completion certificates
are not sufficient);
• Proof of English language proficiency (e.g. TOEFL / IELTS / GRE score). Proof of German language
proficiency is not required, because the course language is English throughout the Master’s Programme;
• Any proof of financial means to support the entire period of study, at a rate of at least  650,-- per
month – for example:
− confirmation of scholarship / grant to cover living expenses OR
− a sponsorshipletter „Verpflichtungserklärung“ from anyone living in Germany for the entire period
of studies OR
− a sanctioned loan, accompanied by a documentation of the collateral against which the loan has
been secured OR
− own savings account, which has been supported by a 12 months bank statement OR
− term deposit OR
− financial guarantee from parents, supported by appropriate proof OR
− proof of sold properties.
Please note, that all bank documents have to contain a valid address and telephone number of the
respective bank with the area code of the place.
Please note, that every student will be required to show a demand draft for  7.700,-- in his/her own name to be
drawn on a bank in Germany on the day that his/her visa is granted. The DD will have to be carried to Germany
and paid into the students German bank account. Proof thereof has to be presented to the Foreigners‘ Registration
Office („Ausländerbehörde“) before extension of visa (residence permit).
