how can i get scholarship?

i was enrolled in an universtiy this March in Germany. Most of you said that all phD. students had scholarship, but i don't know why my proffessor haven't told me anything about it. Should i ask him about this matter?
Also i heard that it is difficult for graduation in Germany, is it only because that the deffense of dissertation is very hard or anything else? by the way, my professor said that i need not take any courses, what i should do is only writing dissertation. So it seemed that i can graduate once i finished the dissertation and passed the deffense ? Or the deffense will be very hard? i will not only answer all the questions which are related to my dissertation, but also they will raise many other questions which they think are in the same field?

First of all, do not worry too much about deffending your "3-years-later" dissertation. It takes place at least three years later, doesn't it? However, I convince you that you are almost done if your supervisor say Okay to your dissertation.

Secondly, get rid of the rubbish thoughts  about the difficulties of graduating. The rumors are floating all over Germany that how hard it is to graduate, but, they have nothing to do with you. They are all concerned with the undergrad. Therefore, be at ease.

Third, the most important and crucial thing you have go to do is---go straight to your supervisor or who is resposible for you and figure it out that you want money now, and wanna a YES answer, haha.
