to: VP of R&DJob Description: ·Manage multiple product
lines including IPDSLAM, Switch, WLAN, Access network and
CPE.·Identify broadband market trend and provide
leadership in new technologies·Work with System Engineering
and marketing to understand requirement and define product
roadmap ·Work with project management team to ensure
product delivery in time ·Work with all R&D in HZ and other
sites to define a synergetic product architecture that
enables max. asset reuse and interoperability as well as to
minimize R&D effort in development to help shorten Time-to-
Market and costs.·Provide leadership and coaching functions
to team members·Provide inputs to SE and PM for
feasibility study, analyze architecture design and assess
system level tradeoffs between performance, reusability and
scalability. ·Coordinate with external technology partners
to leverage the existing technologies to reduce time-to-
market, optimize product cost structure and maximize
performance. Key Skills: ·Strong experience in overall
core and/or node system architecture including hardware and
software module level·Hands-on experience in developing and
deploying large-scale hardware and software platforms
dealing with Scalability, Reliability, Security and
Performance issues. ·In-depth knowledge of understand the
current IPDSLAM, CPE and Data Switch, router and wireless
LAN technology especially in network level.·Understand IP
technology trend such as MPLS, IPv6, mobile IP, etc.·
Communicate well with subordinates, peers, and upper
management across all UTSI sites to clearly define and
promote a successful technology vision and product
development strategy·Have an extensive and clear
understanding of various R&D disciplinesDesirable Skills:·
Knowledge of concept of PSTN/GSM/CDMA network·Knowledge of
PAS/iPAS system·Knowledge of SS7 protocol, such as TUP/MAP/
ISUPQualification:·At least 10 years of product developing
experiences and 3 years of management experience for large
group (more than 150 people)·Strong leadership in product
development and proven tracking record·B.S. in networking/
engineering is must, higher education degree preferable·
Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading English and Chinese

Job Description: ·Identify technological trends and future
market requirements ·Work with marketing/sales to integrate
customer inputs and define product requirements·Lead a
team effort to map product features and performance
requirements into product architecture·Work with all R&D in
HZ and other sites to define a synergetic product

Skills:·Knowledge of concept of PSTN/GSM/CDMA/iPAS network
·Familiar with optical transmission products·Knowledge of
SS7 protocol, such as TUP/MAP/ISUP·Hands-on deployment and
operational experience of services like Roaming, Pre-paid,
Voice Mail, SMS based services like e-mail, etc.

Qualification:·At least 10 years of relevant industry
experiences in system engineering and 3 years of senior
management experience across multi-divisions.·Strong
leadership in product development and proven tracking record
·M.S. in networking/engineering is must, PH.D. preferably
in the relevant fields. ·Fluent in speaking, writing, and
reading English and Chinese a must·Capable of building,
leading, and growing a strong SE organization·Energetic,
outgoing, open, and have a strong drive to succeed.
