Congratulations!
Currently the University Administration, responsible for issuing the admission letters, is in the final check in order to fulfill legal obligations. As soon as this process is finished, we will dispatch the admission letters.
Your application has been selected out of many applications from which we have chosen finally 200 or so. We would like to ask you to make your decision to take up your studies in Stuttgart seriously so that we can firmly plan. For that reason we ask you TO_REPLY_TO this e-mail.
The lower portion of this message contains a section called AAF, which is your explicit statement to accept the admission. In case of acceptance of the admission, please return this e-mail.
Please make sure to include/attach this message into/to your reply message. Please add the characters 'AAF' to the subject line of the reply e-mail leaving the reference number part untouched.
Your AAF e-mail should reach us not later than
May 15, 2011
After receipt of the AAF we will dispatch as soon as possible (this may take up to three weeks), by regular postal service, the admission letter to the address given in the AAF. Therefore please carefully check the address given there and modify it if necessary.
We are quite sure that you will make a good decision when you decide to come to Stuttgart. The INFOTECH program is now already in the 11th year. Our students are highly satisfied with our university and the INFOTECH program.
Some useful information, hints and tips
(1) Take the first steps for the application for the visa as early as possible (if you are not from a European Union country). You might even start this process before having received the admission letter because handling and postal delivery of the admission letter takes its time. Our experience is, that the application process for visa in some countries may take up to 4 (four) months. We also recommend to check the website of the German Embassy/Consulate in your country, to find it see also
(in German).
(2) The supply of student dormitories is limited. We will offer student dormitories on a first-come first-served base with respect to the receipt of the Dormitory Request Form (DRF), which we will send along with the AAF receipt e-mail. Dormitories can be rented at a rate of EUR 270.00 to EUR 300.00 appr. per month.
(3) Although the technical course program is entirely taught in English, the German language is an integral part of the Master program. You need to show a certificate of German (Grundstufe I, A1(1)) in order to receive the Master of Science degree. This proof is needed at the latest before starting your Master Thesis Project. To acquire the level of Grundstufe I we run a German intensive course prior to the winter term (dates see our homepage). Please plan to arrive at the beginning of September to attend the intensive German class from its beginning. Those students who have already passed a German Class (Grundstufe I) may skip the intensive course and may arrive at the beginning of October. After receipt of the AAF we will send you a registration form for the German course.
(4) You also need a proof of industrial work, referred to as Industrial Internship (II), of at least 3 months for your Master's degree. If you have already worked on a technical position at a company and you want that to be credited towards II, please make sure that you have a work testimony. Forms are provided on our download page at
(5) The University offers a Welcome Service free of charge. We highly recommed to use it. To use it, you have to register. Information about the Welcome Service as well as other useful links can be found at
