Visa Information

All students (degree and exchange) wanting to study in Germany have to apply for a visa through the "Akademische Prüfstelle" and successfully pass an interview there. During this 20 minutes interview in English or German one checks whether the applicant's level of knowledge corresponds to their submitted documents. The applicant will never be confronted with specific or difficult problems but rather with questions appropriate to his academic level. Depending on the intended study program in Germany the applicant has to prove sufficient knowledge of German or English, too.

Applicants who have successfully passed the "Akademische Prüfstelle" will be going through a simplified visa procedure.

There are two ways of visa application for students wanting to study in Germany:

They can hand in their visa application and their documents for the APS certificate and interview at the same time. After verification of the documents they will receive an invitation for an interview and- after successful completion - go through the simplified visa procedure.
Students can first submit their documents and pass the interview at the "Akademische Prüfstelle". They will then receive 10 certificates for application at German universities. The certificates are valid for a period of 2 years and can thus be used for visa application through the APS at any time during this validity period.
我的同学半年前注册时好像问了下APS但是同学没有办也就算了，以上的内容是需要APS审核吗，我打算7月中旬就过去了，估计办APS恐怕来不及了。

理论上APS并非签证的必须，但是基本上所有学校要求APS，而且APS也有利于签证通过。
通过APS之后可以进行简易的签证手续。

读博并不一定需要APS，最好问学校。如果实在没有时间办APS，就向学校解释。

我已经签证了，就是还没有结果呢，说要一个月，就是担心到时注册的问题，发了邮件给小米，竟然没有人回。
